"Party on the Lake" Success Suggests Caring People Still Give in Times of Economic Uncertainty
Breast Cancer Recovery is an organization that RS+K has supported since its' inception over ten years ago. Their Infinite Boundaries program conducts retreats that help Breast cancer survivors heal emotionally, spiritually and physically. For 8 years we conducted a golf outing to raise funds. Our efforts generated over $200,000 in donations. For the last two years, we have redirected our efforts and become a corporate sponsor of their "Party on the Lake" event.
By providing financial support as well as helping to motivate attendance and generate auction items, this event raised over $55,000 in 2009. An amazing success in light of the very uncertain economic times faced by most charitable organizations. In addition, RS+K created (pro bono) a direct mail campaign for a special program called Ann's Advocates, named after the organizations founder, Ann Haney. www.bcrecovery.org

The project included colorful graphics on street poles along the streets of Washington D.C., and on their headquarter building. The banners and overall campaign have been very well received and drawn a lot of very positive feedback.
